Jake Parkin
Architect, MArch, BA, AA Dipl, ARB

Jake is an Architect and Lecturer based in London. He studied object and spatial design at the Leeds College of Art before receiving a five-year scholarship to study at the AA School of Architecture in London. There, he was nominated for Diploma Honours and awarded the William Glover Prize. In California, at Bureau Spectacular, he worked on projects for the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, the Architecture Biennial in Chicago and the Taiwan Academy in Hollywood. In the UK, he has worked at multiple award-winning firms, including Foster and Partners, Group Ginger Architects and Farshid Moussavi Architecture. As a Lecturer, he co-leads Design Studio 3.1 at the University of Westminster with Jane Tankard. He previously taught Design Studios at the Schools of Architecture in Oxford, Leicester and Leeds. He has been a guest critic at the Bartlett, UCLA, and CSM. He leads Unit 4 at the AA Summer School and set up the AA Visiting School in Los Angeles with Jimenez Lai in 2020. He set up Jake Parkin Studio in 2024.
